Crested Goshawk

Crested Goshawk are small compared to the other raptors. Sometimes, I may even mistake them for a Jungle Fowl due to its colour. But when we look at its head and beak, we will be able to identify them right away.

An uncommon resident, we can spot them nesting sometimes. Last year ended 2020 and 2021, I managed to spot them nesting in Pasir Ris Park.

Birders were flocking to this park to view thie chicks by the Goshawk.
There are 2 of them. However, I was only able to sight 1 on all my visit. Still better than none, no?

200103 - Taken near Aljunied MRT station when both refuse to budge.
Until one passerby has to separate them and made them fly.
This was captured by my hubby using a mobile phone when he was not into birding yet.
It was a rare sight where at that moment, we do not appreciate it.
