Asian Glossy Starling
Just like the mynar, Asian Glossy Starlings can be considered a pest bird because there are too many in the HDB estate.
I started to take interest in this bird when I noticed their colour changes in different light.

These birds are just everywhere. Like what its name says, glossy. Generally, I may mistaken it for the baby Asian Koel due to its red eyes. Have a look nearer and you will see that the black feathers actually has a tint of green. Feb 2020, I have sighted them in Punggol Waterway, most of the housing estates. The above shot was taken in Singapore Botanical Garden in Feb 2020. |
