2024 Oct at Healing Garden, Singapore Botanic Gardens.

I was walking up Healing Gardens when this cuckoo flew downwards.

So lucky to meet it and took a few pictures of it.

Eventually, a few birders told me they spotted it at Healing garden as well but not able to take a picture of it because it moved that fast.

My 3rd time meeting this bird and this time in a cuckoo land with 2 other cuckoos. A very shy bird and kept itself hidden in the bushes. Most of the photographers took at least 2 hours to get a proper picture for themself.

2021 1104 SBG-Keppel Wetlands 

Finally has a chance to meet this bird after my encounter in year 2020.

It was foraging behind the plants as the birders were busy looking for the common kingfisher and nobody noticed it except me. When I told one of the birders, they laughed at me that I may have mistaken for a chicken. Finally the CWC hoped onto a branch in the open and they realised what they have missed out .

This bird has an

 interesting shimmering feathers. Under the evening golden light, the back looked so shimmering.
