I have done a video to share via You-tube here.
An experience that I would like to see again next year.

2022 May 16th @ Changi, Aviation Park Road.
Based on Bird ecology study group by NUS in Jan 2019-
https://besgroup.org/2019/01/22/pin-tailed-whydah-mid-air-dance-in-slow-motion/
this bird is from South Africa’s Sahara Desert.
Most likely an escapee and has started breeding locally in Singapore.
Thanks to this that we are able to sight them.

The bird is very tiny, like the size of a sparrow and the tail is at least 3 times the size of its body that makes the bird so pretty.

A closer look at the tiny bird.

Unlike the male, the female look nothing interesting.

We can easily mistaken it as the paddy field pipit.

Now we understand why this bird can forever stay under the hot sun, because they were from Sahara Desert. Unlike other birds, most of them would like to hide under the tree inside the leaves.
