According to Singapore Bird.com, Copper-throated sunbird are uncommon resident and can only be found at Sungei Buloh Wetlands and Pulau Ubin area.

No wonder I took so long to meet them.

When my hubby spotted this bird, he told me, a black small bird. I decided to take a look at it as usually, black birds can turn out to be a colourful bird.

When I spotted this female, I thought it was a Brown-throated sunbird.
Later we realised the tail is different from the Brown-throated species.

The bird is fast and elusive. My camera is not fast enough and not able to capture pictures at low light. Thus this is the best I can get for the copper coloured throat.
